Across Nigeria, countless Deaf children face overwhelming challenges in their quest for education and a better future. The Clement Abonyi Foundation is dedicated to rewriting these stories, providing scholarships, and ensuring no Deaf child is left behind.

Take Ezinne, a vibrant Deaf girl from Ebonyi State, born into a low-income family. Her parents struggled to provide the specialized care and education she needed. Recognizing her potential, the Foundation awarded her a scholarship to attend the Christian Mission for the Deaf Primary School in Ibadan. Today, Ezinne is thriving, receiving an education tailored to her needs.

Chidera Ezeugwu’s journey was equally challenging. After completing primary school, his dreams of secondary education were nearly crushed by financial constraints. Determined to survive, he took on menial jobs. The Clement Abonyi Foundation intervened, awarding him a scholarship to attend Andrew Foster Memorial College, a renowned institution for Deaf students in Ibadan. Now, Chidera is back on track, building a brighter future.

Ifechukwu Orjinta, a Child of a Deaf Adult (CODA) from Mmaku in Enugu State, faced immense barriers. Her mother, a Deaf single parent and petty trader, struggled to make ends meet. Ifechukwu attended a mainstream school where she lacked access to sign language or specialized support, hindering her ability to learn effectively. The Foundation stepped in, offering her a scholarship to the Christian Mission for the Deaf Primary School in Ibadan. Today, Ifechukwu thrives in a supportive and inclusive environment designed for her success.

For Chioma, a young orphan, life seemed unbearably hard. After losing her parents, she was moved from one relative's home to another. The emotional scars and financial struggles left her future uncertain—until the Clement Abonyi Foundation offered her a scholarship and the emotional support she desperately needed. Now enrolled at the Christian Mission for the Deaf Primary School, Chioma is flourishing academically and emotionally, rediscovering her confidence and potential.

Victor, another determined youth, faced similar struggles. After completing primary school, financial challenges forced him into menial labor to save for secondary school. The Clement Abonyi Foundation’s scholarship turned his story around, enabling him to enroll at Andrew Foster Memorial College. Victor is now focused on his studies, nurturing his talents, and striving for excellence.

There’s Arinze from Obukpa town, Nsukka Local Government in Enugu State. As the second child of a widowed mother, Arinze’s education was at risk due to financial hardship. Despite the odds, he completed primary school and dreamed of a brighter future. The Foundation’s scholarship allowed him to pursue secondary education at Andrew Foster Memorial College, where he continues to excel.
